ABOUT FOOTBALLTOTS

Our goal is simple: to help young children develop new physical skills, enjoy social interaction, and boost their confidence through football-themed games and activities.

FootballTots is a fun, non-contact sports program designed for boys and girls aged 2–5. Our structured classes are dynamic and full of excitement, with a focus on giving children a positive introduction to sports and physical activity.

FootballTots builds strong foundations for whatever is next on your child’s sporting journey as the skills they learn here have a benefit far beyond football.

And while we love to get a little competitive, we say that at FootballTots success is measured in smiles, not on a scoreboard!

FOOTBALL CLASSES FOR KIDS AGED 2–3½

In this class, parents get involved too. (If you've never scored a touchdown, it could be your chance!)

FootballTots’ parent-participated toddler program provides a fun environment for your child to learn new skills, make friends and have an exciting but safe introduction to football.

Our 30-minute classes are energetic and fast-paced. Each one involves learning objectives such as identifying shapes, colours and numbers at the same time as giving children an introduction to football-specific skills using equipment designed for toddlers.

For example, we use soft foam footballs so your child can catch, pass and kick their field goals with confidence.

FOOTBALL CLASSES FOR KIDS AGED 3½–5

You'll get a kick out of watching your child grow in skill and confidence... and watching them kick their first field goal.

In this slightly older age group we encourage parents to watch and cheer from the sidelines as their FootballTots move up and become more independent.

We introduce peewee footballs, and your child will develop core skills such as throwing, catching, and running with the ball as well as playing fun flag games in a team environment.

Through positive reinforcement we will build your child’s self-esteem and confidence as well as encouraging positive character traits such as teamwork and respect.

These classes last 45 minutes.

FOOTBALLTOTS FAQs

New to FootballTots? Here are some of the common questions parents ask us.

Our classes are structured non-contact play sessions involving a warm up, multiple skills and physical exercise. We blend education into the fun, covering topics such as color recognition, counting, and taking turns for the youngest age group. The older age group learn more about team play and football-related physical skills as well as playing mini Flag games.

All FootballTots sessions are insured by the leading childcare insurance company and cover both personal accident and public liability.

All our coaches have been through detailed in-house training and must gain our FootballTots Coaching Award before leading any classes. All coaches have background checks and completed certificates, and are trained in first aid.

For our 2-to-3½-year-olds, the session lasts 30 minutes.

For our 3½-to-5 year-olds, each session lasts 45 minutes.

Children should wear the clothes and footwear they feel most comfortable and confident in. You will receive your FootballTots kit during your first term and the majority of children will wear this to the sessions.

We recommend you bring refreshments for your child, especially a drink for during and after the session.

Parent participation is important in the youngest age group, but it is not normally necessary for the 3.5 to 5 year groups. Parents do need to always be on hand, though.

The standard ratio for our classes is one lead coach to 12 children. However, the majority of our classes will have a lead and an assistant coach, with the group size being a maximum of 14 children.

Our class launch in Charlotte has been a huge success, and we are now actively seeking franchisees from throughout the country to join the fun. Find out more...
